The fact that love has a profound influence on everyday life (especially if you, like me, have a "creative mind") is evident from the years I went through a turbulent time, love-wise. Or rather, the lack thereof (due to a failed relationship), and I was searching for how to continue my work with a mind overflowing with all sorts of thoughts. After moving from North Holland back to my native province of North Brabant two years ago, I found calmer waters. And how does that happen, when you "enter calmer waters," a new love suddenly appears within reach! Which was also the case in my case. It turns out that we both thrive in a live-apart relationship. That way, it stays fresh and always new, say, when we see each other weekly. That this happiness also benefits my work is evident from the fact that I have breathed new life into this website with the posting of new work, including the Dahlias. Which I create very lovingly using the watercolor technique. Because for me, everything I make is "loving." I know no other way.
