De Lilium Stargazer, Lilium Orientalis, is een hybride lelie uit de groep Oriental lelies. Deze lelies staan bekend om hun heerlijke geur. Net als de Dahlia vind ik lelies prachtige bloemen die bovendien uit vele soorten bestaan. Op de afbeelding heb ik deze lelie weergegeven met de specifieke kenmerken die deze plant onderscheidt van andere soorten. Oftewel, de botanische versie waarbij steelaanzet, bladeren en nerven, kleur en al wat nog meer tot in de kleinste details weergegeven wordt. Ik heb een bos van deze mooierds gekocht en met veel plezier getekend. Ondertussen was mijn neus ook in zijn nopjes vanwege de verrukkelijke geur. De Lilium Stargazer is

Like the Dahlia, I find lilies to be beautiful flowers, and they also come in many varieties. In the illustration, I’ve depicted this lily with the specific characteristics that distinguish it from other varieties. In other words, the botanical version, where the stem base, leaves and veins, color, and everything else are depicted in meticulous detail.
